I cannot say that I am a gourmet of pies, but ... the Upper Crust pies were amongst the best I have tasted. Steak cheese and onion is awesome, but if I'm feeling a bit fancy I'll get one of their gourmet choices. Great menu with excellent choices and there is something for everyone's taste buds. There is always a lineup, but they move people through very quickly. they were very busy but service was both swift and attentive.
Thai Chicken also good. All veg pies are fantastic (don't dismiss their pumpkin, potato & sour cream pie). Can't even think about them pies anymore. Will get too tempted. I can't wait to get back to have another.

This cafe is lovely. Originally founded by parents of special needs children, this cafe has provided employment for children on the upper north shore who have some sort of special needs, and find it harder to obtain work in mainstream businesses. It is open for lunch and dinner, and also does catering for corporate events. By going there, you get nice food and service, and also contribute to the local community.

Upper Crust is a small friendly cafe it has takeway as well as an eat in section. The cafe has staff with special needs and they are all very good with the tasks they take on. They are under the leadership of able people who treat them with respect and encourage them in their work. Very friendly atmosphere where prices are very reasonable
