This tiny little Thai takeaway is named for it's proximity to Sydney University--it's right across from the uni and the very pretty Victoria Park.

The food is decent and tasty, but the real appeal here is the price. For less than $10 you can grab a can of drink and generous serving of Pad Thai, Pad See Eaw, curry, or whatever else takes your fancy.

Top tip? Don't eat in. It's cheap and cheerful, sure, but take your plastic container'd lunch across to the park and eat in the sunshine. Unbeatable.

It is as the name suggest - it's Uni Thai - great Thai food for prices affordable by uni students! Although it's your standard take away Thai quality, it's a cheap lunch to be had and worth the money. A quick in and out food outlet.

Approximate cost: $8

This is a fairly small Thai takeaway nevertheless offering some great food. I've been here a handful of times, and I would have to say my favourite dish is the Pad Thai which is $7.50 if you get it at lunch time. It's just really tasty with a good combination of vegetables and not too oily. The green curry which I had with chicken was nice too. It's probably more relaxing to get your meal takeaway and eat it at Victoria Park as there's not too much seating here. That's what I usually do.

My boyfriend and I have eaten at this place several times. I usually have the stir fried rice noodles with chicken, basil and chilli. This is one of my favourite dishes and they make it really good here. There is a lot of flavour and the chilli is not too overwhelming and the noodles were nice and moist (not too dry like other places). This is more like a takeaway place but you can eat in. This place is located between Sydney Uni footbridge on Parramatta road and Broadway shopping centre so it is good for lunch (especially when uni food is awful). The noodle dish is about $10 which is pretty good value for Thai near the city. This place is great for a simple lunch, close to Sydney uni when there is not much time to go into the city or when you are sick of uni food.
