Unas make a nice chicken schnitzel that is moist and flavorsome. The service here you will get it attentive and helpful. The pricing is quite reasonable too.

I love Unas, this place is the place to go for the best schnitzels in town. Their pork knuckle and sauerkraut is great too.yummy

Their schnitzel is superb. One of the best I've ever had. Sure their prices are steep at around $20 each, but the size of the schnitzel is huge and worth it. Very good value. Left nothing on the plate. Make sure you get full from dinner because their desserts cost a fortune.

Approximate cost: $21

The food is OK but not outstanding. I have been there a few times and I always feel like I am being rushed. Havent even finished my entree and got my main already, then havent even finished my main and got my bill... The tables are very close to eachother, trying to squeeze in as many customers as possible...

Una's has a typical German menu. What was not typical was that they sold out of pork knuckle before we ordered our early lunch. After sharing three entrees and two mains we've decided there are better German restaurants much closer to home so we won't be returning. This is a reflection on the traffic and parking nightmare; the food isn't horrible!

The stand-out dish was the crumbed mushrooms (they were unseasoned but the dill dipping sauce served with it was exceptional!). The deep-fried camembert was nice and a fair sized serving while the Dutch beef croquettes were small (gone before I could really put my finger on what I was eating). For mains we had cabbage rolls with rosti (a nice dish though nothing to rave about) and paprika chicken with rosti and vegies. This dish is what we marked the place down on. I order this dish in most Austro-Hungarian-German restaurants and I have to say it was so disappointing here. It was odd that they served it with rosti and not authentic noodles to take on the sauce (though their rosti was very good, it did get rather soggy) but the real disappointment was the flavour of the sauce. It had no qualities of an authentic "paprika" and to top it off, it looked and tasted as if it were based on canned tomato soup.
This aside, if you're in the area and you're into German food, I'd recommend you give Una's a try. If you don't know your chicken paprika (or don't order it), you may not be let down :)

Yum yum yum yum yum. Yeah it's kitschy but who cares? The food is beautiful and as for value - if lunching here you will not be thinking about dinner! The schnitzel with jaeger sauce...

My family loves Una's & even though we are not locals anymore, we still drive the distance for a honest to goodness feed.
Our favourites are the deep fried camembert with real cranberry sauce & of course their famous schnitzels.
These schnitzels are massive - not for the finicky dieting type - they are high quality meat lovers schnitzels. In fact, quite often my little boy shares mine and we literally roll out the door after eating here.
The atmosphere is lively, fast paced & you get enveloped in a restaurant with lots of European kitsch & energy. Service is amazingly fast with food served pronto. The organisation is also amazing - like a well oiled ship.
For the quantity & quality of the meals the price is really, really good.
I highly recommend Una's. It is so different to anything else in Sydney & I love it!

Approximate cost: $6.50 - $28

Una's is at the end of the street where my daughter lives. Had a number of meals there and they have all been well cooked, tasty and enjoyable. Because our family are regulars we are always given the same table and seated immediately. Also some of the dishes are gluten free. However, this is a cash business with no credit card facility.
