A place that is nice and easy to get to (opposite Flinders station). But for me it becomes way to packed with epensive drinks. Much better places to enjoy than here.

Fantastic location at Federation Square, its an upbeat, socialable place to be for a drink with friends.

It gets quite busy on weekend nights i must say.

I have been there several times for a drink and then our group would go along to a restaurant in Fed Square.

The staff were efficient in getting our orders and no complaints from me!

The location is undeniably awesome, and the venue itself is pretty good - always plenty of staff on hand, and the bouncers have some personality which is always a good thing. It does attract it's fair share of tools though, and the drinks prices are outrageous enough to make Transport only a sometimes place to go, rather than a regular place to have a drink.

Nice and central and right across from Flinders Street Station, which is an ideal place to start or end your night if you are taking public transport. Nice and big inside, but I must admit it can get a bit crowded as everyone goes there. Good range of beers on tap and quick service.

I think this place is a good place to kick off a night. It's a great place to meet up with friends as Flinders Street station is just across the road and you can have a drink while you think of where to go next - that's during winter. During summer, this place comes into its own as its a hub of people outside in the late afternoon sun enjoying each others company over a glass of wine. Just be careful as this place can sometimes attract the questionable characters praying on the girls that have had a little too much to drink.

I've been there a few times & it's been great. It can get too noisy to hear your friend speak at times. The food is pretty good & value for money. The service is usually quite good. The drinks are a bit more expensive than the average, but for the position & surrounds, I think it's ok.

It gets a better mark than maybe it should for its location, the range is great too, and I agree....go for the wedges. Great place to meet up with friends and then head else where!!!

The location of this place is superb, just jump off the train and you are ready for a few bevvys with friends. Atmosphere is great, be it Friday night after work, or for a relaxing Sunday session. Pity that the drinks are steep, but otherwise a great place in Melbourne to socialise. The wedges are nice!!

I'm staggered at what the Transport Bar can get away with as far as there alcohol prices! My experience has been that you almost need to extend the mortgage on your house to afford a beer but the place does have a good atmosphere!
