My wife and I can understand why everyone is talking about this cafe, it really is fabulous. The waitress was wonderful, so friendly and so rushed off her feet, yet she remained calm. We started with the trio of dips, my wife loved them. I have to say my steak was up there with the best i have ever had, perfect! My wife just loved her ricotta gnocchi, so very tasty. We throughly enjoyed ourselve and are already looking forward to returning.

A retro quirky cafe located in Kent Town, easy parking, wonderful artwork on walls, welcoming and engaging as soon as you walk in, David and Claire have produced a wonderful place to relax and experience amazing food, the McLaren Vale Wild Olive Shiraz was rich and complemented our Olive Themed menu, mostly South Australian sourced ingredients showcasing the inventiveness of the dishes. Started off with spiced olives, extra virgin olive oil, dukkah, and coeur de terre (pickled baby carrots, parsnip). I had the Atlantic salmon with a deconstructed Nicoise salad, so good. Plenty of gluten free options, partner had the Italian beef, orange and olive ragu which was rich and flavoursome. The dessert was wonderful, a deconstructed chocolate and olive oil torte with orange sorbet. I have been to many restaurants and this one would rate as second to Serafino at McLaren Vale. There is plenty of room and a back section that would be great to have a bigger function. There is a new Spring dinner menu to experience, highly recommend.

I went to Tin Cat Cafe today for lunch with my husband. I rang ahead to book as I was bringing my pram (and they tout that they are child friendly) and didnt want to miss out in the lunch rush if there was one.
As it turned out it was only mildly busy but when I arrived at 12:15 there was only 1 server on who was a bit frazzled so even though I was seated straight away it was a while before I got drinks and then she did accidentally slam the drinks on the table startling my baby.
The lunch menu was very pricey with main courses around the 30 dollar mark. The mains also looked like they would take a while to come out.I then asked what would be good for a quick lunch and was told I would need to order entrees or soup of the day. I ordered the mushroom soup ($12) and mushroom pie ($20) and a plate of chat potatos ($10). It was filling enough for my partner and myself and they were really good as they brought the food out really quickly. The food was also very good.
I then ordered a coffee and muffin to go. The muffin was baked fresh that day and was to die for.
I have heard that they are closing soon, and confirmed this rumor was true as I was leaving. Get in quick before they disappear as the ambiance is great and food is amazing although I would recommend going for breakfast as you get more bang for your buck. Also note that if you get mains you can use an entertainment gold card here.

The food was sensational, the steak was probably one of, if not the best, I've had in Adelaide. The decor is novel, the dining furniture verge on retro and cheap, but it's pleasant enough. Unfortunately we got a really poor waitress, she seemed to look down on us and made us a bit uncomfortable. However, it's mainly about the food, so give it a go.

Funky, trendy little cafe. Interesting decor and a nice garden dining area for when it's warm. Lovely menu with some unique options. I'd definately go there again.

I had dinner here for the first time recently. Great little quirky cafe - with fantastic food! A bit pricey but what you'd expect, and the best Gnocci i've had in a long time! Definately would come back here again.

Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu is always varied and interesting, and seasonal. The desserts are yummy, and the nibbles with coffee are always great. Quirky art and decorations, and the garden out the back is the perfect place for a quiet dinner with friends.
