Expansive menu. Extremely tasty. Rice pancake and clay pots are great. Sizzling Mongolian beef is also excellent. They do great Vietnamese iced coffee too.

Had most things on the menu. The food is very good, particulary the pho. It would get 5 stars, only that the space is a little "cold". Could do with a little more warmth in the atmosphere.

I've been dining at thien an for years, I've seen them go from the small grungy restaurant on the other side of the road to the upmarket looking place that they are now. The food never wavers in quality and consistency. If you have a favourite dish, you know it's going to be the same next time you go! Personal favourites that I highly recommend are the rice paper and spring rolls, cube steak with tomato rice, fried egg or rice noodles with veg/beef/chick/seafood, BBQ chicken with tomato rice and rice vermicelli with BBQ pork or spring rolls!! My mouth waters just thinking of them!! But if there is a downside to this place, it's the parking :( it's getting worse and worse unfortunately. We've resorted to parking at the footscray market and walking over. But the food is still worth it!

This place does not disappoint!!!! I am a regular and just love the noodle soups which come in spicy or mild varietys. I usually go for the Chilli Beef with Rice Noodle soup or the Pho with half cooked beef. Thien An has a huge menu and plenty is on offer apart from soup. some reviewers have said it can have slow service but I have not experenced this at all. They have always been speedy with the orders on my table.
Its conviently located within walking distance to Footscray train station. The staff are helpful and know a lot about the food and can make recommendations for you. It has ambiant and creates a unique and happy dining experence with trendy, modern decor and is very clean.I am yet to have a bad meal. Check this place out! Two thumbs up!

The food was tasty and reasonably priced. However the service was slow and unorganised, and this ruined the meal. Long wait to get our food, and had to ask twice for a drink which never arrived anyway. The people next to us walked out due to the long wait.

I reckon this restaurant is just an average asian restaurant. Nothing fancy or special about it. The service was okay and the food was good considering its adequate price.

Quality - ok, quality. The flavouring is good.
Service - ok, needs improvement
Value - Reasonable
Overall - Even though the restaurant is more better and bigger looking then the old one. Reasonable meal, a good place to have a meal, nothing over the top.

The food here is fantastic. Very good and very cheap. The selections available on the menu is extensive and great value. The down side is the service is not quite what you would consider top notch, but for the price you're paying, it's adequate
