I used to frequent the Wharf Shed on a regular basis but I haven't been back since my last experience. Ok It's a nice spot but I had to line up for breakfast and wait and wait and wait to be seated. Granted it was summer and being right by the water of course it's a popular place. But when we where finally seated, we waited and waited to be served and maybe that was just as well as it gave me time to check out what I'd be paying for breakfast which made me think about having breakfast else where without the line up and the service delay. No complaints about the food which has always been good and as the place is always full I'm sure my regular visits haven't been missed.

I agree with your review, but got a bit confused about the last time you went back was summer - yet your review was dated August? I guess you've been busy :) The last time I went back in May of this year, it was still very ordinary in terms of food and service. Also it was looking pretty grubby and tired. I won't be hurrying back.

I have been to this place recently after having a bad experience about a year ago. things havent changed the food was simply terrible and very expensive and the staff not much chop either. The only reason why they get any business i think is because they are in a great location and get lots of tourists.

Awful...
We had to be put on a waiting list for what they said would be 5 minutes ,20 minutes later we are still at the bar as they forgot about us & were letting new people off the street in before us. After speaking up we finally got sat down and were asked for ID if we didnt want to pay up front - not a good sign. The seafood 'linguine' was terrible - a clump of white soggy sauceless fettucine with a few overcooked pieces of seafood on top with two cherry tomatoes.

Great views of the waterfront. Inside or outside dining. Genuinely like eating in a wharf shed- rug up in winter!
They specialise in seafood & wood-fired pizzas but I love their pasta & wraps. Mars bar cake is to die for & you definietly need to share with someone else! Generous size meals so good value for money.
Big variety of gourmet quality food. Relaxed atmosphere.

These guys have the best location in Geelong, it is right on the waterfront, with really nice views. They are farly expensive and it is not a particularly nice restaurant. Food is really good quality though and definetly worth a look just for the views

Approximate cost: $25
