Some friends were staying here for a weekend away recently, so we met up with them and had breakfast in the cafe. The BIG breakfast was the way to go at around $16, it came with the lot. Our wives enjoyed the french toast which was served with pistachios, cream, strawberries and honey, they loved it. We returned the following day and had lunch here because we had to try the stables beef burger. All our meals were fabulous, generous and certainly filling. Prices were reasonable and the staff extremely friendly and efficient. Will be returning.
Decided to spend a weekend away in Hahndorf but didn't plan too far in advance so this was the only accommodation available. I was pleasantly surprised. The room (just a standard room not a spa or family) was quaint and very clean, staff were exceptionally friendly. We were actually shown to our room not just pointed in the general direction. Rates were very reasonable and the bed was comfortable. Not much more you could ask for really. Didnt try the restaurant part. Would definitely stay there again
It's a great place for a meal, so definitely try it next time.
Not only was the food fantastic so was the accomodation.The staff were friendly and took my order promptly. There was 2 birthday parties there that night who arrived before I did. They had obviously pre-booked their tables. Considering the number of people there I received my delicious piping hot meal fairly quickly. It was during Octoberfest which is probably their busiest time of year too.

What a great place
Having family over from interestate we decided to have one of our many lunches here. They have a very extensive menu, with aussie meals as well as some german ones like their bratwurst and weisswurst sausages (which my sister-in-law tried). My husband went with the steak and I just felt like a nice burger and chips. I have to say the surf and turf did look good. The staff were friendly, a bit slow with taking our order and receiving it. It was not busy at all, infact there was only one other group of people. But besides that we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
