It really is quite amazing how the team have completely transformed this place. The vibes are completely different from the old puggs. Instead, it feels both old school and retro, yet trendy and modern day hipster at the same time. The neon purple lines remeniscent of a club & bar, disco ball lights, minimalist hipster steel furniture and ceiling decor creates a really unique venue.
Aside from the amazing surrounds, the food and drinks are quite unique and delightful in themselves.
Examples:
Slow roasted pork belly pieces with crispy salty crackling, served on green apple and honey cider dressed wild roquette and accompanied with an apple and cranberry compote.
A roasted giant field mushroom stuffed with a macadamia nut, mushroom, shallot and herb filling. Served with goats cheese & some spinach leaves, it was a mini meal in itself and scrumptious.
The Surf & Turf really amazed us - 200g tender grass-fed MSA graded eye fillet beef cooked to our liking and accompanied with garlic prawns, crispy pancetta, steamed broccolini and Australian bush pepper Hollandaise - bargain?
