I went to get my hair and make up done at The Place To Be For Hair and Beauty, and i was pleasantly surprised by their professional service and great prices, i have been to many other hair dressers and nothing has compared to The Place for service and for money i was greeted by lovely staff members who welcomed me and helped me figure out what i wanted to do with my hair, also my make up by the beauty therapist was fantastic i would defiantly recommend this salon and be going back there very soon !

Well, where do I start. I went here for my year 10 graduation formal to have my makeup and hair done. Upon arrival everyone there was very nice and patient with me because I didn't know what kind of hair style I wanted. I was very happy with the staff service and also the management. But, when I went to have the makeup done, I was faced with another staff. I'm a very fair colour skin with fair eye brows and hair, and when I saw the foundation the other staff put on me with their bare hands) I was horrified, it was so dark. And when I decided I'd had enough of not communicating my concern, they said they had no colour that could match my skin. I told them to take it off, and put the lightest foundation they had on (which is surprising they didn't do in the first place), and even when that was done it was far to dark. Not to mention they didn't set it with powder so it looked like my face was dripping with oil the whole night, nor did they even attempt to fill in my eyebrows they just left them covered with makeup, now did they do anything with my lips. It was just so incredibly shocking. I also couldn't believe that after handing them a picture of a smokey eye, they put a one-colour wash of black eye shadow over my eye, said I was done, and asked me to do my own makeup and use the mascara wand in the bottle. So yes, the management and first staff are fantastic and do a great job, but don't get your makeup done there, you will be sorely disappointed.
