Lovely little cafe in the fitzroy gardens.
We stopped to have a drink here but ended up getting some cakes as well because they just looked so good! People near us eating lunch also looked fantastic.
Lovely surrounds with the fitzroy gardens and miniature village just out the front.
Very busy the day we went - and outside seating was quite limited.

When we walked into this cafe, we told ourselves not to set our expectations too high. We were pleasantly surprised when the food we ordered, fish and chips, chicken focaccia and wedges were presented to us. The main meals came with fresh salad and all of them were great, we could taste the freshness of the fish and other ingredients that were used. We had an enjoyable visit here and will surely drop by again. One word of caution though, observe the parking restrictions!

My son and i were exploring Fitzroy Gardens and starting to feel a bit peckish for lunch. We happened upon The Pavillion when checking out the model village - lunch, right when we needed it! We each had a foccacia, which came with a lovely fresh salad. My son raved about how delicious it was, and i agreed. And it's in a lovely location that looks out ofver the gardens.

A lovely little Cafe, The Pavilion Cafe, is well located within the central parts of the Fitzroy Gardens. A great selection of treats and a nice menu of freshly made food. The coffee was lovely and service very good. Fitzroy gardens is a lovely place to meander about and relax, especially if your lucky to have some sun and temperate climate. On the eastern edge of the Melbourne CBD, you'll find this a lovely retreat, and the Pavilion cafe a welcome surprise.

Gorgeous sorrounds, set in the heart of Fitzroy Gardens! Pity that the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. A lovely place to have a coffee on a nice day, but I think lunch prices are too high.

Approximate cost: $30
