Great cafe which used to be a former fire station - hey no surprise with the name right! :)

I called in one weekday for brekkie and found it interesting with retro old style tables and chairs, and paintings and other art work around the walls.

I ordered myself a skinny latte which was nice tasting and a toasted sandwich (egg and cheese) on sour dough rye bread.
Cheese was nice and melted as I like it. I think it might have been a cheddar?

Best of all is that the cafe uses free range eggs and you can taste the difference!

You need to order at the counter and the staff will bring your order to your table.

The staff are friendly enough, smiled and acknowledged me when I walked in. They did not mind that I sat down for a while sipping my coffee and then I ordered my toastie.

I will definitely be happy to go again to this cafe for breakfast or lunch as they had a good range of meals on the menu

Unique place to visit with a retro atmosphere. It can seem a little overpriced for the quality but it's an experience to see the various displays etc. Good place to enjoy a relaxing weekend breakfast.

Had Sunday morning breakfast here with my mum and my boyfriend. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast of eggs on toast with mushrooms, but my boyfriend said his eggs were overdone. It was good value for the price, and the atmosphere is great. As the name suggests, the cafe is an old firestation, so there's lots to look at while you eat.
