The New Chambers is a lively Greek restaurant in Sutherland, it is by no means the best greek food in Sydney, but I had an enjoyable time trying out somewhere new. Wait times were long (even with a reservation) and the customer service was slow. The New Chambers has a wide selection of meals to pick from.

We're fond of Greek culture and food but this restaurant was disappointing. They had Westernised their traditional food so much, we might as well have gone for fish and chips. No, Greek-Australian fusion doesn't work. The entrees and mains were just... too salty, too greasy and not so fresh. Waiting times were too long after we ordered and the deco was just not very inviting. The central location and modern building did not make up for the lack of tradition.

We went here for my husband's work Christmas party. It was noisy due to the relatively small space, but it doesn't look small with the mirrored wall in the back. I thought it was a nice Greek-Australian fusion restaurant with interesting meal choices; but my favourite thing was the Greek semi-sweet red wine (Imiglykos) - absolutely divine!

Lovely Greek food with plenty of choices. Open for lunch Monday to Friday. Open for Dinner Thursday to Saturday. Can have some noisy dinners, but lovely food. Worth a visit. Plenty of vegetarian choices

Approximate cost: $25.00
