Used to frequently eat here some years ago and decided to order from Kallista Deli today. They have expanded by incorporating the store next door but their prices have remained very reasonable. As always, food was great and service was friendly. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes because we ordered when it was very busy. Ordered three ciabatta rolls: BLAT was delicious, roasted chicken was very nice, chargrilled eggplant and goats cheese was very nice although had a little too much pesto. Also had some brownies. I've never liked brownies but these looked so moist and chewy in the display cabinet that we ordered a few. Gobbled them up in no time. Total price for a great lunch was only $33.50 (we didn't order any drinks today).

Approximate cost: $30

This Deli can get very busy, but there are generally seats available out the front, the food is very good also the coffee, frequented by lots of locals which is a good sign.

I recently visited for lunch with my 3.5 year old. The service was quick. They brought my son's babycino out promptly which is always appreciated.
The food was nice, simple and tasty. My little guy polished off his toastie and we both left happy.
Was a bit hard to get a drink of water though whilst balancing my 5 month old in my other arm, as the water jugs are SO heavy.

Best coffee in the hills without a doubt - a rich chocolatey brew; they get good beans.
They usually have good fresh snacks which are brought it, but the downside is the food that is cooked on location which is a bit average probably due to an impossibly small kitchen area. The space is also a bit cramped and sometimes not very clean, with quite a few flies in summer.
The staff are particularly lovely and this is where all the locals go.

The food is fresh and delicious and the coffee is devine. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and a true taste of the dandenongs. Inside and outside dining and Also takeaways which comes in handy cos I LOVE their slices which are great for on the road travelling back to my home in Frankston. The hour journey is really worth it for the beautiful breakfasts.

This place does great coffee and their food is divine. A great range of focaccias as well as winter warmer soups and big fat lasagnas and quiches. They also have a nice range of gourmet prepackages foods and fresh dips and antipasto to take home.
