I love gumnut patisserie , pies , pastries all their products are 5including the coffee . I frequent the Bowral store often and was especially happy as a ‘newbie’ down in the highlands to learn they did Christmas cakes. I normally make my own however this year I was in the middle of a renovation so decided to purchase one. They were selling individual pieces and I bought in to try. It was moist rich and delicious…. I then purchased from the Mittagong store ( Bowral was out of stock) a large decorated Christmas cake . I’m very sorry to say that while it was beautifully decorated it was very dry, crumbly and lacked the delicious rich moist flavour of the ‘sample’ I tried from the Bowral store …..quite upsetting and I would not risk purchasing a fruit cake again ! Everything else I have previously purchased has been excellent .

Very nice pies & their vanilla slice is a winner. Great range of pastries, etc. Shop is tiny and usually packed, for a very good reason.

This place is packed with tourists most weekends. They seem to love the range of pies, sausage rolls & croissants. The pastries & cakes are very rich and very yummy. The caramel tart, coffee eclair, Easter hot cross buns are extra special. Pecan pie and date loaf are staple afternoon delights! Coffee average.

Every time I drive to Canberra, it is absolutely mandatory that I make a stop at The Gumnut Patisserie for a sausage roll. Their sausage rolls are so delicious and one of the best that I've ever eaten. Their cakes are also superb too.

This place never fails to deliver on quality baked goods and yummy cakes. The quality is consistently very high and I am addicted to both their sausage rolls and their carrot cake - both superb examples of their kind! Service is brisk and friendly but they are usually busy so you often have to wait a bit, but its worth it. Only the coffee is a little inconsistant, sometimes great sometimes average.

We went to The Gumnut Patisserie this past weekend with my family and the food from there was terrific. We ordered a party pack which came with about 15 different items and each one was very delicious. The only downfall was that the shop is VERY small and due to its popularity, the shop gets so crowded that there's hardly any room to move, let alone have a decent look at all the desserts. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great either. When we walked in, we were the only ones in the shop, but after less than a minute there were already 4 people behind us. I know the staff were eager to serve everyone, but they were a bit rude and not very eager to serve us. I just wish the quality of service had matched the quality of the product they're selling.

We stopped for a summer tart (custard and rasberry jam) and were very happy with the results. This bakery consistently wins the NSW Patisserie of the Year award and no wonder. The bakery items are delicious and we cannot wait to visit again. There are three locations to choose from: Mittagong, Bowral and Berrima.

Seriously professional patissiers here making everything from fabulous pies to luscious flans and tarts, all a treat to the eye as well as the palate. They bake great cakes, and will bake any special request with enough notice.

I would really recommend their Banoffee Pie, Crem Brulee, Hot cross Buns, caramel tart and so much more. This place really is like heaven on earth.
