This place is bigger than it looks from the outside, and always busy. The coffees were a little disappointing for such a well-established place. My latte, for example, was a bit too hot and the milk had not been stretched adequately (the layer of foam on top wasn't nearly thick enough) and you can forget about any coffee art! The actual quality of the coffee is acceptable though, it's just the making of it that was a bit lacking. The food and cakes looked tempting (though we did not try them this time). Service is ok, not the friendliest I have ever received but not the worst either.

I had plenty of time to wait for my bus home after doing some shopping at Coles nearby. So I decided to go into this store and have a cup of coffee. I asked for it to be half strength mug of coffee and that is exactly what I got. They were spot on with the order.

The Epicurean Delicatessen is an Italian Cafe/Deli that makes the most amazing gnocchi and strong tasting coffees. The decor is warm Tuscan colour themed and they also sell Italian meats and cheeses. They are often packed out on Saturdays so it pays to book a table if you are planning on going here then.

I have only been here once, but the place is delightful. I really enjoyed the fresh cup of coffee and the atmosphere of the place!
