We came here on Wednesday night and it was parma night. Both Hubby and I decided to have parma. I had the Mexican - it came with beans, jalapeno, cheese and chips/salad on the side. Very generous serving, I could not finish my meal.
Good place for cheap and fast meals.

A big group of us came here the other night. It is a nice place for a group meal, I wouldn't come for a nice quiet date or anything as the atmosphere is very pubby. Good meals which are quite cheap, service was pretty good and being out the back where the tables are is away from all the loud TAB punters. Upstairs wasn't open but even if it is you still have to come down for drinks and food as there is no table ordering.

Went here on an entertainment book voucher for 50% main meal. This was a really good deal. Had the steak sandwich on turkish bread cost $10 after voucher. The meal came with very generous serving of chips. This is a typical pub place. My only issue is no parking on site so had to park in dim side street, not safe for females.

I had been going to the Elgin hotel for meals on and off for years, as had various members of family scattered across nearby suburbs. Hadn't been there for quite a while though and had to organise a work function for hubby's workplace so thought we'd go there. Big mistake, and slightly embarrassing considering I'd talked the place up. I'd say they have changed owners. Their once beautiful big bistro is now a pool room and the narrow main bar area has been converted to the dining room and completely lacks ambience now. The meals were still good apart from the seafood which wasn't very fresh and their idea of salad is rocket with a morsel of dressing splashed over it. They only offered two desserts that night and one they were out of, and they had already shut down their coffee machine well before 9pm!

SPORTS, SPORTS and MORE SPORTS. If it sports that you want this is the place to see it. From AFL, soccer, cricket and all special events, this place has got it. The food is the standard pub food and of a good quality. Order the schnitzel.
