Cant see any improvement over time. Very quiet still ,weekend bands are usually quite good and get some patrons in. Place needs a big revamp. Drinks are the same cost as everywhere else around $15 for cocktails, makes an expensive night. Trains are close and buses. Bit drab imo

A valley institution, this pub was always referred to as the Elephant, even when it was still called the Elephant and Castle.

Beers, meals and entertainment. One of the few real pubs in the valley.

A year ago I had the worst experience here. The beer was rotten, and the staff didn't care or even offer a replacement on a $13 pint of beer! Tried it again this week, and at least the staff give you the time of day now. I'm still not sure what is attractive about this pub except that it is central and has a wide choice of beers around a big bar, (although just one craft beer amongst them). Otherwise the live music element is dire cover version dross, there's nothing atmospheric about the decor, and basically there's nothing to do but stand around with the TAB blaring at you. It's just a typical Aussie 'milking bar' in disguise as something trendy. Convenient, but boring.

A very quiet place during the week, but picks up on the weekends. Clean, staff need to be more friendly they don't engage in. Conversation. Place is clean, pokies are usually quiet. Bar is clean toilets need to be checked on more often for cleanliness. Bands are great when there

now The Elephant Arms Hotel, this pub has a really great atmosphere, good service and an area with live music however their drinks are excessively expensive. on a Friday night I was paying $12.20 for a Smirnoff Red!! their best feature is that they are not too busy and service is quick.

i've been here twice.
always has been pretty fun.
i like the fact that you dont have to line up for 45 minutes to grab a drink, and they're reasonably priced.
the outdoor area is quite nifty too. probably my favourite part of elephant and wheel barrow

Approximate cost: $50

What a place to enjoy at Friday night out. Live Bands Good British food and wonderful international staff make this place a fun and exciting place to go. You can even win a few bucks on the pokies if you are so inclined.

Approximate cost: $10+
