We had take away from this restuarant as it was so packed and we had a large group of people so we took the take away back to our holliday apartment. The food was absolutly delicious but the servings very small for the price. For example, one of our meals was the Crispy duck with Thai Dipping Sauce, and it is $22.00 and we got such a small amount it was dissappointing. And the dipping sauce was simply a sweat chilli sauce... I expecedted something more exotic than what tasted like bottled sweat chilli sauce. The BBQ pork was a decent sized serving but no sauce of any form? and the side salads that came with them had a really yummy salad dressing, buy again was a tiny portion. The Chicken Fried rice was a great portion size and really delicious, the spring rolls were ok, and the Salt & Pepper squid was a bit too salty for my likling but was a good serving size. This is not a cheap restaurant but the quality is good.

Approximate cost: $Average $11 entre, $20 mains

Excellent quality, excellent service.
Their product is far superior than any other thai restaurant I have dined in.
Always fresh and of fantastic quality.
You may pay a little more than the other run-of-the-mill, same-old-same-old thai, but once you try, you will understand why. Nothing out of the jar from here.
They also run a cooking school which I'm doing this weekend. Cant wait!
Coffs Harbour should be proud to have one of the finest Thai restaurants in the country.

**( Just by chance I came over this site today.
I feel I have to defend the staff at The Crying Tiger from an untruthful woman.
I was present the evening LouiseM6 dined.
All explanations and charges are clearly set out on their menu.
LouiseM6 was a very rude lady who behaved very inappropriately for a supposedly mature woman. She kept yelling "I'm a lawyer I'm a lawyer" and kept thrusting her hand in the chef's face quite violently with some type of card and then threw some type of object at her face. My friends and I witnessed it all. As mature adults ourselves, we were embarrassed at her behaviour.
A $2 fee would appear to be nothing for someone who claims to be a lawyer and charges $400 an hour to write a simple letter or turn up in court to defend you after not even taking the time to meet you and know nothing about the case.
The staff handled her extremely well & calmly.
It was a good giggle for the rest of us.)

Approximate cost: $18-$26

I went here with friends and I must say that it is a great experience. the food was very tasty and fresh but the only downside would be that it was one dish per person instead of a selection in the middle of the table like most other thai restaurants.

Approximate cost: $25.00

i can only say that when you and your friends order, it is up to you to discuss sharing amongst you and your guests.
it is our suggestion that everyone shares, however, we cannot force people to do this.
i apologise if this spoilt your dining experience.
