This use to be a great place for a feed but was extremely disappointed with all aspects when I recently visited here for a meal with family. There was only one other group seated and yet the food took forever to arrive and it was over cooked and some inedible. Ordered wine by the glass and recieved less than half a glass. The night was very expensive, and the overall experience only guarenteed one thing, and that is I won't be going back.

meals are very oily. not much quality. service is better since one or two staff moved on. they seem to have forgotten the oldies. steak and chips is just so greasy and salads and vegetables feel like they have been around twice before

Both my partner and I had our steaks sent out to us still bleeding, when we asked for well done. This was ok but after the third time we decided to speak to the owners. The woman who we delt with was extreemly rude. We left that night with an empty stomach and empty wallet.

Hi NerissaR, any restaurant incapable of determining the ‘doneness’ of a piece of meat should not be in operation, that is, unless they are a ‘vegetarian’ establishment. At the end of the day, every ‘competent’ chef knows how to select ‘appropriate’ cuts of meat, cook them accordingly and use tempering and resting techniques in order to respect the meat and obtain the perfect result. Sounds like these guys are clueless and so arrogant that they simply don’t care. Consumers will eventually ‘vote with their feet’ (and wallets) and go somewhere that does. Simple as that! This used to be a great place to eat when we first moved into the area. I don't know if they've got a new chef or something, but the food has really gone off - and the prices they are charging are similar to a high quality city restaurant. I don't know how they can justify the prices they charge, given that the food really isn't that good.

My husband and I ate here on one of their meal deal nights. All I remember of the night (as this was a year or so ago) was that the dessert was off and when I informed the waitress she simply told me she would give me another piece - OF THE SAME CAKE!!! I told her this wasn't good enough and she simply shrugged her shoulders. Thinking the owner might deal with the problem a bit more professionally I wrote a letter and asked for a response - to this day I am still waiting. We vowed never to return and guess what, we never have!
Hi Ladette, yet another sign of a poorly run establishment, which the majority of the review on this site allude to. It certainly sounds like management needs to ‘brush-up’ on consumer etiquette and basic manners. The staff I imagin were not well trained having little knowlege of the food or wine they were serving. Serving 300ml serves of wine and taking an hour and a half for our mains to be served was highly disapointing. Also the management were not very hepful and were very rude!

I ate here a few years back and it was pretty ordinary, so had not been back. we went recently and the food was very good- traditional pub fare, good value and convenient.
