Fantastic ambiance - upstairs was packed and full of chatter and laughter and a really pleasant feeling.

The food was delicious. We ordered a selection of dishes and shared it between everyone - it was wonderful and such a social meal this way.

The only faults were a couple of the dishes came out quite late compared to the rest of the meal. And, the service was slightly lacking as it took a long time for someone to come to take our order and they weren't too good with serving drinks. One of our party was given a wine list to look at when she asked to order a drink and they never came back to get the order for it.

Bookings are a must because there was not an empty table in the house!

I still give it 4 stars because the delicious food alone made up for the service.

Food is amazing and such a good ambience when the blinds open you can see out the the water. Masman yum, lovely Thai ladies everywhere. Only downfall its not good for a romantic dinner for 2 on a saturday night we were in and out in 45 mins, felt a bit rush and it was a shame, got there at 7 and we were out by 7.45 :(

Wow, this place is a gem! I dined here with a party of four on a Friday night, on the recommendation from a neighbour. Delicious well-balanced Thai flavours, delightful decor and view, and attentive efficient well-dressed waitresses. The restaurant is obviously very popular as at first I was told they were booked out. Luckily they could squeeze us in as I explained we wanted an early and quick meal (out by 7.30pm). Very accommodating. From our selection my favourites were the Duck Curry and the Money Bags (beautiful coconut flavour). The venue is quite noisy as it is busy and has polished wooden floors, but hey, I'm not complaining. Fab food!

The food here was incredible. I went with 4 others and we had a very pleasant experience, I don't like spice too much so i asked for a milder than normal duck curry, and it was absolutely divine. We shared honey chicken and a red curry as well - all were fantastic! I recommend the snowy king prawns as well - definitely going back again and again!!

Addicted to the Coconut Prawns with Chilli Sauce - truly magnificent. Run by a Thai lady, with Thai waitresses - this is authentic (as you might get it in Australia) Thai meals. AND THE VIEWS OVER THE BAY ARE MAGNIFICENT. Apparently service on Saturday nights is slow, but found lunches during the week - great

We have been going here for years now and spend on average $3,000 a year. Just recently they must have changed chefs, because we've had a couple of average meals. The last meal, though, was almost inedible. When we told the manager, she first didn't believe us, then tasted the food and argued with us about exactly how bad it was! There was no attempt to keep our custom or to rectify the situation. We paid and won't go back. There are a few other Thai restaurants in the area and they are just as good. I would beware eating here. It's gone downhill a lot since the last reviews posted. It's a shame, but I guess it happens!

hidden down the lane way this restaurant is FANTASTIC. It's like being back in Thailand, very traditional and great food! The service is EXCEPTIONALLY friendly and we love going there. The meals are great serves and very affordable. The view from the back balcony to the bay is just beautiful. A great place to go with your partner or a fun night to go with friends.

Very nice food, amazing Tom Yum soup and Curry Puffs especially. Discount for take away is great also. Waitresses are in traditional dress which is lovely and all of them are polite and prompt.

I love the food in Melbourne but have always thought that Sydney had better Thai and Japanese restaurants. That is until I ate at Thai Rose. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the massaman beef. I would have to rate it the best Thai in Melbourne. Great restaurant, good food and reasonable prices.
