Best thai food around not overpriced and the food is amazing. I have been to many thai restaurants and never has anyone been able to do the drunken noodle with chilli that they do. I've been going here for years and will continue to do so.

Arrived late into Richmond NSW on a Sunday night in preparation for the work week on site early the next morning. This was after about 5 hours of travelling from Melbourne.

At that point I would have been thankful for any place that was open. My colleague and I randomly choose Thai Angelina because a) it was open and b) neither of us had an objection to Thai food.

It did not impress on first glance because the lighting was a bit harsh and the furniture was a little dated. But there were other customers and their food looked pretty good so we stayed.

The menu was surprisingly impressive. Along with the usual cliche staples of Thai food like Pad Thai and curries, there were more exotic dishes which I remembered from my visits to Phuket and Bangkok. BBQ Octopus, coconut rice and roasted duck to name a few.

The food was very good and arrived at our table quite fast even though they were clearly busy filling pick up orders from the number of people coming into the shop to get their takeaways. The octopus was tender and not at all overcooked, the duck was also very good and I was glad that the coconut rice was priced by the person because we had to get a refill.

I give more credit to the quality of food than the ambiance so this restaurant rates highly. It's nice to be pleasantly surprised like that after a long tiring day.

Don't let the setting fool you, may not look up to much from the outside but they dish up great food at even better prices. Their lunch specials are great value and the portions are more than enough.
