I've been to a few different TGI Fridays. I normally get the Texas burger and its so good, I think about eating it again the next day. But when I went to the Epping store the flavours were not there. I didn't eat any of the chips bar 4-5 single chips, because they didn't taste very good. I ate the burger, but I was not impressed. I've been too 3 different TGI Fridays and this one is the worst. I won't go back to this store.

Expensive as hell - but the free soft drink refills are ghood for kids and I think they provide free meals for kids one day of the week from memory?
Best jack daniels bbq sauce its to die for. Atmosphere is great and food is delish.
Just don't expect to be fed in a jiffy
Be careful with the free meal. Just the receipt that you are not charged for it. They almost charged us for the kids meal until we reminded them of their own promotion!
My husband and I went here for my nephew's birthday last week. The restaurant itself was pretty standard in appearance nice (teenagers and young people in their TGI gear clapping and singing birthday songs). The food quality & prices though, that's where I got shocked. For a place that primarily provides 'frozen-then-deep-fry' (or frozen-then-grill) sort of food, I was surprised. Their prices are on par with some restaurants that appear in the AGFG, yet the food standard is (thousands of) miles behind! Shock shook off, we order: the nachos, the Texas Burger and the veg fajita tower. The edges of all the nachos were burnt and cheese that topped them was overcooked to the point of hardness. Other than that, they were just 'meh'. The burger looked impressive when it got to the table, but lost all it's luster when my hubby realized the bacon wasn't bacon, it was some cold piece of miscellaneous meat. Double 'meh' to that. The fajita tower looked mighty big when they brought it out, but on closer inspection, the "vegetables" provided to fill the 6 small wraps consisted of about 3 slivers of capsicum, a bunch of sliced onions and a whole lot of sliced mushrooms. Pretty poor I have to say. All in all, I feel the quality of food versus the price charged is completely mis-matched. Either up the care & quality, or drop the prices. I understand freeze & fry has it's place, but at least do it well if you're going to charge on average $25 per main meal. However, in saying all this - given how busy the place was, perhaps we just struck a one-off bad experience? Or perhaps the locals don't mind food cooked badly? I'll leave that up to you to decide.

Tgi Fridays is our go to place for dinner when visiting friends in Epping.
Great atmosphere, always packed out (sometimes you may have to wait a bit at the bar before they can find you a table) Good range of cocktails and beer available at the bar
They're great with kids, plenty of high chairs available when bringing in small children.
Food is always tasty, and they always cook their steaks well. A little overpriced, but always good sized big meals.
Approximate cost: $30
Always find this place very noisy, with lots of hustle and bustle, it is always busy, with often very long waiting times for a table, the food potions are a generous size...although a bit pricey, and sometimes the service is a bit slack!
As expensive as this place is, I really like it. Apart from the fajita tower the sizes of the meals are good, they have a cocktail happy hour and im pretty sure kids still eat free. Free soft drink refills. Hapy friendly service, great before a movie.
Cheap $10 lunch menu

This is such a nice place to come for a meal. It always has a lively atmosphere and really friendly wait staff. I always have the chicken fingers which is cooked well and comes with seasoned chips and a delicious honey mustard. All of the meals are big portions and you get free refills of soft drink. If taking family or a bigger group of people on a weekend I would suggest booking ahead as the waiting times for walk in diners can be over half an hour.

Been a couple of times, had to wait a long time for a table, and the service a bit slack. The food is very good with big portions, but I do think they are a bit pricey!
The decor - very cool. Takes you back in time, and is a bit out there.
The service, very over the top friendly!
The food, expensive, but really nice, although I will say the portion size has really dropped
The cocktails & desserts are to die for, and these are more reasonably priced. They'll go all out for your birthday with an embarrasing song all the staff will get together and sing at your table and encourage the restaurant to clap along. I'd give 5 stars if they gave us a discount! The soft drink refills are good though!
Approximate cost: $25
Been here a few times, with hubby and son and last time in group of 10. They don't like taking bookings unless you are large group so you could have to wait for table...they do say you can sit at the bar, but I don't think that's appropriate when you have children with you. The menu has a variety of dishes nothing really sounded too healthy. Drinks are expensive, although some soft drinks are bottomless, so that's good if you have thirsty kids. The veggies if you order a steak are pre-cut frozen, and the mashed potato full of cheese. Don't be expecting a cheap night out, but its quirky decor and amusing birthday singing from wait staff is worth seeing. I wouldn't say rush out to visit, but wouldn't not recommend TGI's either.
I have been to this TGI Fridays twice - once on my own and once with my husband and have been impressed with the customer service both times. As a Canadian, one thing that really irks me in many Australian restaurants is having to pay extra for ketchup, sour cream or tartar sauce - things that generally accompany certain dishes and are provided at no extra cost in Canada. At TGI Fridays they don't charge extra - they come with the meal - as they should ! That said the portions here are large (even too large in some cases) and flavourful. The food has been high quality both times I have visited. But, the best part is the friendly service - the wait staff seem happy to help and are perfectly attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to hungry people looking for a quality meal.
