This is a lovely shop tucked away in Black Rock that has tremendous atmosphere. It's like stepping into a different world. The staff know more about tea than any other tea shop i've visited (and good to see organic stock!). Thanks for such a nice experience guys.
The delightful Emjay welcomes all with the offer of a sample of certified organic Tea of the Day (there are usually 2 or 3!) and a little education about tea brewing and storage. Have a smell from dozens of sample pots of dry tea leaf blends, choose gifts for family and friends and yourself from her huge range of teas and teapots and accessories, or sit down with locally made biscuits and enjoy a cup in the retro seating area. She also has iced teas and cold drinks in the fridge. The prices are very good, cheaper than I could find anywhere in Southland or Chadstone: some of the kettles were $20 and more cheaper at Tea Matters! Worth the journey if you don't live nearby, and worth making it your new local tea house if you do live in Bayside!
