Delicious selection of dishes and a great wine selection. Perfect for a night out away from the kids

Had an anniversary here with my girlfriend and it was just right for what we wanted. Great food, lovely service, not outrageously priced, great wine list and not too stuffy. We shared our carpaccio and duck liver pate entrees which were superb.Mains were steak and fish and both excellent.Profiterole dessert was good, have had better, but certainly OK.And the wine list was excellent, combo of French and local, all matching the menu really well. Can't fault this rest, would recommend to anyone.

We walked in on a busy Saturday night without a reservation. The service was perfectly timed and responsive to our needs and preferences. The room itself is cosy, with windows looking over busy Victoria Street. After a glass of bubbles at the bar, we had the most delicious twice-cooked pork belly, matched with a lovely Beaujolais. The other main, a duck leg confit with red cabbage was outstanding.
Do make sure you try the strawberry champagne cocktail, though - that one is excellent!
Bottom line - we really enjoyed it, will defs be back!

Great place, service was awesome. Food was good. Went here on a thursday for dinner. The lamb was yummy and a large portion of creme brulee was serviced, big enough to share between two.

The eye fillet was tender and selection of wine was great! good for a nice weekday relaxing dinner.

Approximate cost: $25

I've read all the reviews of this place so my partner and I decided to dine here for Valentine's dinner and we were both pleasantly surprised. Firstly, they didn't take advantage of Valentine's day like many other restaurants by forcing a set menu on everyone and only taking bookings for specific times. It was just a normal night where you can order anything from the menu.

Secondly, their service was fantastic. The female waitress was very knowledgeable and professional and the Asian waiter was attentive (but not too attentive).

Thirdly, the food was divine! I had the pork confit and my partner had the spatchcock, one of their specials of the night and we shared a bottle of French red wine which accompanied our meals perfectly. The dessert wasn't that great though, had the apple tart which was ok and my partner didn't seem too impressed with the creme caramel.

All in all, we had a great night and we'll definitely be back!
