very expensive to get in, not to mention a real pain to get there, overall layout is very confusing, but the wide variety of animals is very impressive and the kids will love it there.

Approximate cost: $145

Yeah I agree, I remember visiting as a kid on some school excursion or something. It looks a bit on the 'expensive side'.

Layout is confusing, I also think it is a bit over priced.

Wow, what a good day out with the kids! We had to start cutting some choices out as there is way too much to see and 9.30am to 4.30pm just isn't enough time. We may even buy annual passes as it is so much fun (good workout at the same time on those hills). All the enclosures are nice and clean, the staff around the grounds are friendly. They have no problem with you taking your own food in too which is good for families as the line up at the cafes were huge and expensive as they always are at theme parks etc. There are ramps everywhere to help with easy access with prams/wheelchairs. Best day out in a long time though!

Approximate cost: $130 for 6 people

An great place for a day out or if you have any overseas/interstate guests. It really is an amazing zoo compared to many other zoos overseas and the best in Sydney- it is based on a huge area and every time I go I never miss the wild-life shows!

I love going there with my husband and two daughters. The view is spectacular especially from the cable car. The enclosures are well kept and the information provided about the animals is very educational. The talks by zoo keepers are also very informative and enjoyable

Last week went to Taronga Zoo with the Family for the first time. Was impressed with the variety of animals etc. However may be bit difficult up / down stairs in a pram. However plenty of seating around for rests. I suggest bringing food/drink with you to save costs.

Approximate cost: $43 for adults

Great day out, the path is a little all over the place, you need the map to make sure you don't miss anything. Great seeing the 3 baby elephants. Its not a cheap family day out, entry $43 per adult & ferry cost us $20 in total each. Still worth seeing the great animals we have. Too bad there were only 2 seals... gorgeous view.

We had a great day - spent the day looking at the animals and having a great day. Really enjoyed ourselves.

We did the "Roar and Snore" at Taronga. This is where you sleep over at the zoo and get taken on a behind the scenes tour of the zoo. The best parts were being able to go into the giraffe enclosure and feed them carrots as well as going into the bear enclosure (the bears weren't in there at the time) and hiding the food for the bears. A fun and family friendly activity that was different and exciting.

Great day out with the family. Spent the whole day in the zoo- exploring and watching animals be feed. Kids enjoyed the day....went home exhausted!!! As did mum and Dad.

Approximate cost: $150.00

It's a bit complicated to get to and I've been to better but it's a good zoo and you can have quite an enjoyable albeit expensive day there - plenty to see and do.
