A really lovely modern japanese restaurant.
Lovely atmosphere, setting and service.
The menu is excellent, with a range of options both for those inclined to take part in tabletop cooking or let the kitchen do the work. Quality of the ingredients used is also highly commendable.

This is one of the best top tier Japanese restaurants in Melbourne.
Similar to Shira Nui, it is not advertised with the same level of jazz as other top tier japanese restaurants around town ie. Nobu or Miyako.
However it is no less fabulous.
In fact, the lack of hype and popularity probably makes this place better.

I would definitely recommend this place. The food was really great. Had no problem with the service last time I was there.

One of our favorite dining places for quality wagyu BBQ, we tend to order the Jo-karubi and Jo-tan instead of the buffet as we worked out it is a similar price for a better product. Recently let down by likely new staff which led to a long delay in service of an hour. Still very high quality wagyu and hopefully just a once off staffing issue.

Great ambiance, best wagyu beef selection. The smokeless grille serves as the centre point for gathering makes it an ideal night out with friends. My personal favourites are the signature dishes especially the Takumi special and Salmon carpaccio, we had the set menu which offered a perfect range and the dishes just kept coming, the grilled wagyu was just mouth watering....we definitely will be back.
