We got gift vouchers for this restaurant from work and we are so glad we got the opportunity to visit such a unique and interesting restaurant. It had great tasting food that was traditionally Turkish and very interesting. A competitive price and everyone working there was friendly and helpful with explaining some of the unfamiliar products on menu, which we're thankful she did because what she explained helped and also tasted great. Will defiantly return!

I ended up eating here a month ago, roughly, when our normal cafe had been closed for renovations. I'm glad we went, as the whole place had a really nice vibe. The food was great, so was the coffee. The staff were also great, they always smiled at us. The price is perhaps a little more expensive than other places, but it's worth it.

Never had this type of food before and was unsure how it would be.. well it was FANTASTIC. Big variety all really fresh and healthy. We had the bread and dips first yum then for main I had the chicken shoofta which are chicken rissoles with rice and tabouleah, others in my group had various meals the best looked to be the lamb pizza that I will get next time! My big tip is to book ahead as the place was very busy. it is also byo!

I enjoy the food here immensely, the only restaurant in my area with this type of cuisine. The dips are fresh, the falafel is unique (very crispy and they bring out 2 types of yoghurt sauce with them), and I especially enjoy the platter for 2. I always have dessert too, always tossing up between about 4 of them.

We were staying on the Gold Coast for a conference and heard about Taboon - it ended up being well worth the 15min taxi ride. We had the Tabouleh, Belly Dancer, Grilled Chilli Beef Plate, and Lamb Shank Tagine. The Belly Dancer and Chilli Beef both had the same date & lemon chutney on them - they did warn that it's not for the faint hearted, but the heat was still surprising - the taste was incredible though. The Tabouleh and the Tagine were both amazing as well. I would not hesitate to return to Taboon the next time I'm on the Gold Coast.

Very good. I love Middle Eastern food, and Taboon was affordable and quite authentic. The staff were also very pleasant and informative.

We had dined there for both lunch and dinner and must say the food there is fantastic! For lunch they have some very nice and affordable pita sandwiches/ lunch bowls and for dinner a very tempting menu of a good range of middle eastern foods. Everything we ordered were delicious, and the atmosphere is nice in the evening. Price is a little higher for dinner, but you still get great quality you surely won't be disappointed.
