I would not recommend this business to anyone. Hard to know whether they are dishonest or simply incompetent. Called to repair a dishwasher, their repair lasted a few months and then another fault appeared. Could happen, so I asked them to repair the second fault. Within a month, a third fault had appeared. They insisted, of course, on a call-out fee each time, but when it became clear that the third fault was caused by an incorrect repair of the second fault, I requested a return of the call-out fee. This was refused so I went to NSW Fair Trading. They requested all correspondence and info, which I supplied, and eventually SDAC was obliged to give me a refund. It is clear they would never have done so without the intervention of a government body. Disgraceful behaviour. Do not ever use them!

Not surprised by other reviews. Steve is immediately rude, disrespectful, lazy and does NO due diligence. He condescendingly refers you to use a manual, because aparently a washing machine is too difficult to use.
The machine is infact broken.

I now have to consult another service and accept that my time was wasted.

I do not recommend Sydney Domestic Appliance Centre at all. You will pay for nothing if you decide on this service.

This business are not professionals. After a few phone calls, I was told my St George canopy range hood was too old and there would not be any parts for it. In short, the motor is blown. I gave a full description of the problem with photos. When I spoke to SDAC, they made it sound like it was repairable. I paid $165 for a technician to turn up who didn't even bother taking a look. The motor's blown, sorry can't be repaired but we will see if we can get parts for it. I spoke to Sophie and was told, they spent about 40 minutes investigating if any parts were available, as if to justify the $165. In the end I was told, sorry can't find another suitable canopy range hood of your size. Now it's up to me to try and source a replacement. Sophie apologized that I was not happy with the service and said they're a small family owned business. Guess what Sophie, that's exactly why it's even more important to be honest with people and not rip them off when you know what the outcome was going to be from the beginning.

Customer service was appalling on all fronts. Was criticised and described as awkward, work area left not as found after work done. Do not recommend this company at all, they are far more interested in taking money than doing a professional job.

No I would not recommend this business.

Sydney Domestic Appliance Centre is an Australian owned family business operating since 1997 in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

They could not fix our oven. Replaced the elements - then said we had to buy a part to fix the oven. Spend over $400 to find out we needed to buy another part. Unapologetic and not helpful.

We had a problem with no ice coming from the Icemaker in a Samsung Frig/Freezer. After trying other repair companies, we called this Centre. A technician, Zane, arrived on time, was efficient, friendly, courteous and worked on the problem until he found a solution. The office staff were equally as efficient and polite. This Centre is highly, very highly recommended.

I have tried to give Sydney Domestic Appliance Centre a fair go: however, I will never seek their services again. I experienced repeated visits to attempt to repair the same items, failure to correctly assess appliance issues, extremely poor telephone customer service & ongoing inability to follow through on verbal & written commitments to supply copies of invoices. Finally and in desperation I sought service from elswhere.... efficient, professional & competent. What a contrast & relief!
