The Swordfish is a great fish and chip cafe in the centre of Mittagong. I have bought takeaways from here on a number of occasions and the quality is very good. Meals are cooked on the spot and, despite there often being quite a few customers at any one time, the wait times are not bad at all.
The Swordfish does a great range of fish, and usually has a deal of some sort going.
You can comfortably eat on premises, out the back there are two long tables and benches in an outside area. There are also some zinc tables inside.
My personal favourites are the fish cocktails and potato scallops. You can easily feed two people for less than $15 in total.

This cafe has great seafood. You can eat in their courtyard or takeaway. The grilled seafood platter is my favourite. The food is a little pricey but very good.
