Gets busy on the weekend, so go early if you want to grab something to eat and drink. There is an internal open courtyard on the 2nd floor but not if you like mist blasting at you while you eat. Nice food and decent decor. One drawback is that people are allowed to smoke in the courtyard which then flows into the internal areas as there are no partitions.

A prettier pub than the standard local with a nice combination of old and new. Has a pool table which is fun and the upstairs smoking is really cool at night, good fun with a bar both upstairs and downstairs so you can switch it up.

Ate with a group from work. Ordered first and received my meal last - about 20 minutes or more after everyone else. Everyone else had already finished. When I asked the waiter for a reason I was given attitude so I asked to speak with the manager. The waiter identified himself as the manager and told me there was nothing he could do and if i wasn't happy not to come back. I might just do that. When I asked another staff member if he was the manager I found out he was the head chef and had lied to me. I found the licensee and explained my experience who apologised for the poor experience. At least he understood a bit of customer service!
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time people from my work have experienced stuff ups and long delays from the kitchen. Great pub, atmosphere and the food is nice (once it arrives), but work on the customer service. If you stuff up - say so! People are usually happy with an apology.
