My child is enrolled in what is known at starz on stage as an 'Acro and tumbling class' meaning an acrobatic class, where the kids conduct flexible contorting gymnastics style movements. My daughter enjoys her classes and finds doing the acrobatics quite fun and seems to be building her skills in this area. However I have been disappointed with how difficult it is to contact the person who manages the dance school, when I have queries regarding fees, uniforms, or any other issues, as they seem very difficult to get hold of on the phone and via email as I have found it takes me quite a while to get hold of her or find out the answers to my queries. The school does however put out newsletters which they email to parents at least once a week, sometimes even more. This place takes the dancing very seriously and if your child takes there dancing very seriously and wants to compete in regional competitions and that kind of thing this would be a good place to go, as the newsletters indicate there is always something going on. However since I prefer a casual approach and don't enjoy fundraising and strict uniform requirements and a lot of information to process with so many newsletters then I find this place a little too overwhelming for my tastes. The prices are about average per term for this kind of class I think, however the uniform required is a little expensive. This place isn't my cup of tea but it might be good for those who want to progress in dancing as there are intermediate and advanced classes and concerts and competitions that the kids can participate in.
