We really enjoyed our main meal here. The satay chicken entrée was dry and the satay sauce was not really to our liking. The mains however were soooo delicious. The pork with garlic and chilli was super moreish, the massaman beef didn't really seem like a curry (not complaining), however the meat was so tender and the sauce was wonderful and the chow chee chicken was also fantastic. The sauce was 'drinkable' and the chicken cooked beautifully. Service was great. My only complaint was the chairs. Like so many other restaurants (unfortunately) they have the wooden chairs with round seats which are incredibly uncomfortable and within 10 minutes my back was killing me.

Mmm... Yum.
Awesome food, very authentic.
The people are very nice and it's service with a smile here.
One of the better ones on this street

This is amazing quality food. I went with a bunch of lawyers who were regulars and who just asked for the waitress to take care of them, without looking at a menu. Everything was incredible! Half the lawyers in town eat here.

The service at this restaurant is great. I never feel let down and always enjoy the food. I've never had a bad word to say about this restaurant and will not hesitate to go back time and again.

What type of food does this restuarant serve? I have never heard of it.

I have eaten here a few times and I absolutely love this place. Being on Gouger street you would expect it to be fairly pricy but it is actually very reasonably priced. The main meals I would get here were the Green Thai chicken curry (absolutely beautiful), Chicken satay skewers (some of the best I have had, love the peanut sauce they use), Charcoal squid (char grilled to perfection), and the Pad Thai, (amazing too!) They do a really great job with the food and the presentation, we did find that the service was good and in some ways maybe a little too good, they made a little bit too much of a fuss over filling our glasses and were a little bit overwhelmed by how many times they came to our table. But if the only negative thing I can say about this restaurant is that they over compensated on service, I do not think this will stop me from going back there again, especially for the delicious food.

Thanks for your review, the food sounds great, I especially like the sound of the satay skewers!

Had a booking for dinner with the whole family about three months ago and it was great. Service was ok but they were busy. Food was hot and good size portions. Stopped buy the other week and they were booked out so we ordered take away and it was very good value. It was very yummy. Actually preferred the take away as I do feel the restaurant could do with a bit of a makeover for atmosphere and ambience.

Approximate cost: $30

Yep, service is definitely brusque, but only because they are so popular. The food certainly makes up for it!

The food at Star of Siam is amazing! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, but the best of the bunch was the Sea Stars, Pepper & Garlic Chilli Pork and Choo-Chee Chicken. Based on the quality of food, I'd say the prices are quite reasonable. The restaurant is very popular, so make sure you ring ahead to book.

The food is brilliant at this restaurant. The seating isn't very spacious, quite crammed and also there are so many people that u always have to book in order to get a seat. The service is OK, the lady was a bit rude when she sort of shooed us away when we said we didn't have a booking. I haven't been there since because of that. The dishes are overly expensive, and serving sizes are average, so I think the dishes are over priced. Overall they are ok when u consider everything together.

One of Adelaide's best Thai restaurants. Great range of amazing thai food at reasonable price. Fast service. Always consistent. Be warned though - you will need to book as the food is so good that they are always packed.

My thai friend brought me to this restaurant as he said that this is one of the best thai restaurant in adelaide. And trust me, it is really delicious especially their larb gai (minced chicken salad). In terms of service, it is reasonably fast during dinner hour. the staffs are very attentive, always refill water for us and asked us how is the food. In terms of pricing i would say it is a bit expensive, but it is still worth it
