My hairdresser moved out of Melbourne so I was nervous about who to allow to do my blonde. I had an amazing experience at Salon Matisse. I loved my blonde too and will definitely go back.

I have only been here one time, about a month ago, because I live outside of Melbourne, but I am happy to give a recommendation based on my experience. I needed my eyebrows shaped and my lashes tinted, and in I came. Well, I was treated like I was someone important and I loved it.

Walking in to the Fitzroy St Salon you are overwhelmed with a sense of luxury. However the welcoming smile and chatter of the staff instantly relaxes. The reason for my visit was to drastically change my look by going from Brunette to Blonde, which is a very scary experience for one who does not understand the dynamics of hair. However the extremely experience colour technician immediately put me at ease and I knew I was in safe hands. My trust was rewarded when I saw my new look in the mirror and the blonde looked incredibly natural, an enormously difficult thing for any hairdresser to achieve on a first time blonde. My experience was toped off when at the end of my time there I was told the price. I probably would have paid anything considering how happy I was with my whole experience; however the cost was very affordable, in fact cheaper than most salons I have been to. And since I have never had so many remarks on my hair.

My experience was a very pleasurable one, i was so happy with the end result of my cut and colour, i will never go to another salon again. The complimentary glass of wine and warm engaging conversation made my visit more like a day out with friends than just sitting in a salon like a number.

Im very excited i finally found a hairstylist that actually cares, i had my hair styled cut and blowaved, the cut is fantastic and being in the salon for the first time i felt like i had known them for years they made me feel so welcome and really looked after me i was recomended through a friend and ill be going back to salon matisse , ive had so many people coment on my hair.

My experience here has been amazing the owner of the salon did a full head of bonde highlights and a cut and blowdry, i must say its the best color and cut ive ever had she knew exactly what i wanted and im so excited because ive been to so many salons and this is the first time i have ever been happy!! so greatful i came to salon matisse
