Overall a good experience, but service and wait time could be improved. I found they recommended the best option for me based on my insurance inclusions.

Lovely salespeople, great quality range of frames, although the price is a little on the high side, was quoted $569 for a pair of glasses that i picked up at a different place for $345 same product so its recommended to shop around

They advertise deals to get you in, then you get told you need to spend much more. They make the glasses and when they don't work as described then they just say that's the best they can do. That is after you've had to go back and they get another eye test fee out of medicare. Won't be going back.

Going blind slowly, recently found I have to wear glasses to keep my licence and also too see the board at TAFE. Spec savers got me in, and all fixed up in nder a week, great service, no waiting for ages to become a four eyed person. $500 for four pairs glasses

Friendly service. You can get a walk-in appointment on most days without too long a wait. They have a lot of specials, so if you need to watch your spending you can still get a decent pair of glasses. The quality of the cheap specials is what you pay for, unfortunately. This particular shop does push a lot on the up-sell to more expensive frames and pushes their brand of contact lenses, which I didn't find worked for me. I didn't like the pushiness in the up-selling of the products, personally.

Service can vary depending on who is serving you. Some occasions I've been served promptly and with much fussing other times its been a bit "ho hum". Glasses are ok quality for the price you pay but dont expect them to last 10+ years. My last pair (not purchased at SpecSavers) lasted over 10 years, never any problems. One of the pairs I purchased at SpecSavers the screws came out within about 6 months. I was advised this is common and to be expected with my prescription (quite strong). Not sure ... my last pair didn't suffer from this but then they cost double the price for one pair so that may explain it - better quality. I can't complain, the glasses do the job and I receive alot of good comments about both pairs.

Approximate cost: $179-399
