This was our first visit and we were impressed with the shops contemporary fit out. The batter on the fish is light (similar to Tempura batter) and not oily.The chips,potato cakes and corn jacks were cooked golden brown (not oily), light and crisp.They get the different cooking times for each item perfectly.The staff were down to earth,friendly and efficient.Well done.We'll be back.

I preferred them before they changed hands (?) or changed their menu / batter recipe. Something went downhill. Meanwhile the prices zoomed up.
We used to get fish and chips here each month, but go elsewhere now.

Disappointed to hear. I used to go there as a youngster (now over 40) and did so about six years ago). Food was still great.
The best new local Fish and Chippery in the area. Lots of variety great fish and wedges, fresh and quick service. The staff are friendly and efficient even on a Friday night!
