I have been craving a spaghetti chicken carbonara all day.
I found This Italian restaurant around the corner from the motel with awesome reviews.
I walked there ordered takeaway, got back to room to enjoy my carbonara and a movie, Only to discover it is the worst carbonara I have ever tasted.
To top the experience off, I attempt to speak to them about it, only to be spoken rudely in return from what turns out to be one of the owners.
I will never be back and I will always speak of how bad this experience was.

Sorbellos does great pasta and pizza. The staff are usually great and they can cater to larger groups. Food is consistent which is often hard to find. Only issue is no split bills so can be difficult when with a large group to sort out cash for everyone.

It is such a popular Italian restaurant in Mackay. On one of the busiest streets, it's important to book in advance so that you don't miss your dinner seats. The waiters are attentive to make sure we had water bottles to top up our glasses. Last but not least, the marinara pizzas are my favorite all time dishes.

People in mackay rave about this place,but personally all the times I've been there(admittedly only 6 times over 6 years)I've never quite got what people see in it.the food nice,but it's not really a wow,tell your friends about a certain dish etc.the prices are average restaurant prices,the decor is nice,particularly the big tv they've made into a fish tank.they have a big selection of desserts,which unfortunately again are just nice.its located right in town,and is always quite packed.you can also go in and order takeaway,to do so but you have to actually go into the restaurant,so maybe don't wear your pj"s in as I regrettably did once lol.

Sorbellos has never let me down. Food and service consistently good. Menu is extensive so if there is a person in your party who's not fond of pasta/Italian, there are sufficient "Aussie" style dishes to choose from. Servings are generous but try to keep room for dessert. Cheerful, welcoming atmosphere, very reasonable prices, licenced with good range of beverages, good for dining in lunch or dinner or takeaway available. The fact this place has been in business for so long and remains very popular speaks for itself. Best to book - on weekends especially

A lovely restaurant, not too upscale, but one that the whole family can go to with kids. Great food, reasonable price.

I Have eaten in the restaurant twice and ordered take away heaps of times, nice food, pleasant atmosphere. The Cesare salad was to die for. Menu lot of choices.And the pasta was one of the nicest i have tasted it was a pumpkin and pine-nut Pasta

I've eaten in once and ordered take-away another time, both times the food was good. I liked the atmosphere and the friendly service. The menu has a lot to choose from, and their pastas are delicious. I think this must be one of the best restaurants in Mackay, affordable and yet a little fancy.
