Nice cost spot, live music and great tasting satisfying home-style Irish food in absolutely enormous portions. Found staff to be great.

The name is very fitting, for it is indeed a very warm & snug atmosphere, public in the sense that you would feel very welcome, with an old school house/community vibe.
The food & service is what you would expect of a upper mid-market pub - chips with trimmings, burgers with trimmings, fancy pies/pastries, hearty stews & quality parmas in generous proportions.
Worth a visit if you are in the locality.
