I would not recommend this place, the woman I dealt with was extremely rude and hassled me for being a few minutes late, I'm pregnant and was looking forward to some nice relaxing 'me time', unfortunately it just ended up being a stressful experience. Very unimpressed!

OMG DO NOT GO THERE! I went to skin botanic for bio sculpture gel nails- I have been very happy with this product for over 3 years now and thought I would try somewhere closer to home now that I have a baby. The experience started off fine until the technician was buffing my nails so harshly that they were burning. I mentioned to as it was really hurting but she just kept going and asked me if I usually had them buffed - well yes, you need to buff them before applying the product, but just not so much! My nails were also burning when I was under the UV light to cure them - this has happened occasionally in the past for just a couple of seconds, but this time the nails were stinging for a good 20 seconds - again confirming my worst fears of too much buffing! The salon was quite dimly lit and it was only when I got into the car and in the natural light that I could see what an appalling job had been done. My nails were about 4 times as thick as they should have been, some of the gel extended onto two of my fingers (which would mean lifting of the gel within a day or so), there were brush hairs in a couple of the whites (I had french polish finish) and there was far too much white for the length of my nails. I could also see pink stripes in a couple of the nails where they had been over-buffed. It was so bad that I pulled over in the car on the way home and rang biosculpture to get a recommendation of somewhere where I could get them fixed. Out of courtesy I called Skin Botanic to let them know I was unhappy about the results. From the start of the conversation they made excuses - the technician was apparently experienced with the product and the poor result could have been because my baby was crying- WHAT? Yes I do have a baby and I am a working Mum who doesn't get out that much to treat herself and my baby was crying during the buffing. By the time we came anywhere near applying the gel my little one was passed out asleep in the pram and remained asleep until we left the salon. SO ladies, I ask you, is this the response you are looking for from your beauty salon? Anyway I went to the technician recommended by Biosculture the next day and she had to soak off the gel and start again. Instead of just soaking off the gel also had to be clipped and buffed away - the technician said it was the worst job she had ever seen (and she has been working with this product for 10 years). As I already knew, she confirmed that the gel was way too thick and that too much of my nails had been buffed. The remedial appointment took nearly 2 hours, as she had to work so slowly to take off the old gel because my nails were so sore from all the buffing. Don't be put off about the biosculture gel product ladies, it is great and I am still using it, BUT DO NOT GET IT DONE AT SKIN BOTANIC! I am grateful that I have now found a great technician, and am relieved that I hadn't had a function or something to attend on the night after going to skin botanic - my nails looked so bad after going there that I wouldn't have wanted to leave the house.

These guys are great, Belinda and Fiona are so friendly and they do everything from waxing, facials, spray tans, gel toe nails, acrylic nails. They are just great. They are reasonably priced, but the great thing is they have a points system and I just got a free 1 hour Swedish massage. They also sell great mineral make-up. It's the best make-up i have ever used and it doesn't make me look orange. I just love this place they make waking fun!
