I love eating here, especially on a beautiful, clear day, as the views are amazing! The menu is high quality and varied, with gluten free options. I've been multiple times, and every dish i've had has been delicious! The owner is super friendly - even lets us play the piano! The deserts are AMAZING! Do yourself a favour and eat here! :D

This used to be The Station Cafe, but has recently (only in the last few weeks, I think) changed hands (and name).

We had lunch here today, the new menu was good, slightly weighted towards seafood - if you don't eat that, about a third of the menu options are out.

I had the breakfast bruschetta - for lunch, yes! - and it was delicious! My friend had the scallops in a spicy chowder-style soup - she really enjoyed it.

Dessert menu was very adequate - I had gluten free orange cake, and my friend the almond and berry tart ( which I ate half of) - both were fantastic!

They had a good selection of gluten free options, both on the main menu and the dessert, we had quite a discussion with the new owner about it (my friend has family members with Coeliac disease) - he's really trying to provide interesting, varied gluten free options, and not just paying lip service to it.

The decor inside is lovely (they were receiving new furniture today as we were there) and he's mostly updated the outside furniture too. Lovely area with armchairs around a fireplace - would be fantastic on a cold winters day. The old verandah has been glassed in by the previous owner (it was like that when I last visited a couple of years ago) and makes a beautiful setting on a clear day, as today.

Combine the view, the setting, the good service, great food and enthusiasm of the new owner, and you're guaranteed to want to go back!
