There are several Thai restaurants in New Farm. While not really authentic in flaovur (according to my inside sources) it does the typical Thai food that westerners associate with Thailand.
Avoid the curries and try some of the other dishes to get food that is a little more sweet than the authentic Thai food, but still not too bad.
I wish this place had better service because if it did I would go there more often. The food is brilliant but you have to be in the mood to wait for a LONG TIME! Awful service.

Strike two and sorry guys you are out, first time thought it might have been teething problems because you were new, but just ordered takeaway and was told 45 minute wait, ok not too bad, but on retuning home after picking food up they missed giving us half the order, poor form !

Siam Square Thai
We witnessed a meltdown here on Friday evening. A full restaurant, tons of takeaway orders, highly stressed staff and no food! Our entrees were just okay, then they returned 30 mins later to check whether this was our main course order ( a piece of paper was thrust under my nose). The takeway crowd continued to dominate down the centre of the small restaurant, but no food was coming to the tables. Occasionally an entree was carried out. There was lots of walking in and out of the kitchen, but returning empty handed. Had they ryb out of food, had the chef walked, who knows? Figuring that 90 mins had passed, the future looked grim, we followed on the heels of some other customers, settling up and walking out. Worst restaurant experinece in Brisbane!!
