hooray for entertainment book discounts~! :)

we wanted sweet potato chips but they were out of sweet potato that day!
so we ordered potato wedges - but it came out as normal chips! :'(
my friend & I were one of the first to order, but when another table got their food before us, it turned out our order had been forgotten.. :S

oh well, the food was delicious - I had their homemade lamb pie ... but I wouldn't really go back unless I had another coupon :P

Approximate cost: $15

I have been coming here for the last 5 years (thanks to the Entertainment Book voucher discount) and yes the standard of food has changed somewhat over the years.

Reminiscing the stone grill menu back in the day where you cook your own steak with skewered prawns was devine. They do not have that on the menu anymore which could be a change with the times.

We usually come here for the the steak as that's our preferred steak restaurant in Southbank as it's in a quiet location away from the crowds.

The only thing that has not changed is the lemon lime bitters, they have always been really good at a really good price.

Overall the restaurant food is consistently good, service can be a hit and miss, atmosphere is always pleasant. But yeah I still reminisce how good it used to be and here's to hoping!

This is a quite bar/ restaurant located near the goodwill bridge at South Bank. The bar has a laid-back atmosphere and nice outdoor seating. The interior has a modern design decorated with art from the neighbouring College of Art. The beer is cheap at $4 a glass as well as the chips at $8 for a large bowl with sauce.

The bar staff are friendly and were happy to bring our food to us and meet any requests we had. It is in a really good location close to the river but away from many other clubs and bars, so it's quieter. It's in walking distance to the train as well as the bus. Would go here again.

Approximate cost: $15

What a lovely place to dine...great views of the river and southbank parklands, and very good service and atmosphere. The eye fillets were superb - big, juicy and tender, and presented beautifully.
Ship Inn is also a lovely spot for after-work drinks or a catch up with friends, without as much noise as the surrounding pubs.

Approximate cost: $32.00
