Pricey and my family loves it but I'm just okay with it.
The pink salt wagyu is a favourite of theirs and i think it's fun but way too salty when you're done cooking/playing with it.
The teriyaki chicken is cooked to perfection... But no one goes to a high end restaurant for teriyaki chicken and rice ($40). The place is very pricey... More a date or business meeting location than student/casual dining.
The staff are super friendly and competent. The overall atmosphere and experience is amazing but their signature pink salt wagyu is a bit overrated in my opinion.
Also, conveniently located right across the street from the Argle bar so you can watch the antics or join in after your meal.

The food just so so there, I went for its famous pink salt wagyu beef. But the wagyu just too fat for both my friend and me, we even cannot finish a small dish for it, what a waste.

Approximate cost: $75

Food here is rather impressive compared to other Japanese restaurants. The food is of good quality and there is wonderful service.

Went here for a friend's birthday party and had the $75 degustation menu. Though ambiance was good, I would have expected better value for money as was still left hungry after dinner, particularly when I regularly eat out at Japanese restaurants.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to in terms of quality of food and freshness. The degustation menu was pretty good value at $75 if I remember correctly. Most of the dishes were very tasty, including a surprise lamb cutlets dish which we thought was odd for a Japanese restaurant.
