We were staying at the hotel and decided to dine at the restaurant on site. The service was excellent and the food whilst not inventive was very well cooked (and I had fish which is easy to get wrong) and tasty.

I had a festival of food voucher, when we arrived the waiter was very quick to welcome us to the restaurant. We received our started and entrees very quickly, the food was very exotic and nothing like you've tasted before. The food was great but not amazing, the entree was a bit tasteless, the service was good but there was only 1 waiter and he was rushing around trying to serve everyone. Overal still a great place to go for a special occasion as the atmosphere is great and it's very romantic, the dessert is to die for.

Thanks for sharing. Another place for us to try.
Well the restaurant setting is probably one of the finest in Adelaide, really tastefully decorated and great ambiance. Before I get to the food I will mention the service, the waiting staff were absolutely sensational, every need was covered they were confident speaking about all aspects of the menu and just made you feel at ease and welcome in the restaurant. The food was good, but didn't match the level the staff and ambiance sets. They do offer quite a lot of specials, so look out for one and give it a go.
This is for North Terrace, Adelaide SA.
We've dined here a lot over the years and were very happy to receive an invitation to enjoy a complimentary entree and main course for 2 with free parking. We arrived early with intentions to enjoy a bottle of wine purchased at the bar and then take the remainder into the restaurant. For reasons I still don't understand, we had to get the wine menu from the restaurant and order from that. Needless to say this took up a lot of time, but the male bar staff who helped us was very pleasant and brought our drinks into the restaurant when it was time. We were seated by the window, which is always a bonus, and were told who our waiter would be and he explained the menu to us. Entree was a tasing plate of duck, salmon and black cones containg feta - all beautifully presented and delicious. For main course I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection being moist and pink, accompanied by baby potatos, beetroot and a horseradish cream dressing. Stunning! Hubby had venison which he said was perfect. We will make a point of returning here later this year. The wine list is expensive, as most of similar fine dining restaurants are, so to keep costs down I suggest you don't indulge. A really enjoyable evening out with good service.

Great feedback. Thanks for sharing. The entree sounds amazing - i love a tasting plate!
Had a birthday breakfast there, absolutely amazing, I have never experience the assortment of food displayed, even when overseas, the stuffed mushroom were wonderful, I especially loved the bircher muesli, and the machine that makes any coffee you want. I understand why they have won the best breakfast awards. I loved the honeycomb served in a spoon, the mini chocolate jaffa dessert and especially the chocolate fountain with the giant strawberries. Highly recommend.

Fantastic breakfast buffet. They have the best selection i have ever experienced. Very fresh, good quality produce. A little pricey at $30 per person, but very worth it. give it a try.
I can honestly say that without a doubt, the Sebel Playford Adelaide Restaurant is by far the best buffet breakfast that you will experience in Adelaide. Organic juices, organic yoghurts, an assortment of mueslis and cereals, baked sweets and treats as well as delicious hot dishes including your basics like crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. They also have special hot dishes to make your meal just that little more special like grilled tomatoes, pan-fried mushrooms in garlic butter, lamp chops marinaded in herbs and garlic. You can also find exotic fresh fruits amongst the fresh fruit including things like paw paw and lychee as well as lots of local produce. Sometimes they even have a chocolate fountain going! Don't forget to order your eggs benedict or eggs florentine - they cook the egg perfectly! And save room to choose out of a dozen different types of bread and some pancakes with maple syrup and berries or ice cream, if you have any room left. We also go to the Sebel Playford for special events and we are never disappointed and always leave absolutely stuffed!
