Too my three kids here and they loved it more than Taronga zoo! Such a busy place though. We started by going on the sky rail and went across to see the three sisters which was amazing. Then we went back across to ride the sky rail which the kids absolutely LOVED. It was so steep but great views of blue mountains everywhere. We went down into the forest for a walk then back up the sky climb for some more amazing views. Very expensive to eat here we went to the local
Town and found some food.

When we visited here for the first time 2 years ago they were renovating the railway so we were unable to do that part of the trip but since going back this November we thought well why not do it all again.
I think it really pays to pick your time, we arrived not long after opening around 9.30, parking at this time is easy and the tourist coaches haven't started piling in yet. We found it most relaxed with most of the "rides" being all most empty at times, twice we found ourselves the only ones aboard which was rather romantic, enjoying the ride just the two of us.
I like the addition of the $35 unlimited ticket which allows you to ride all the rides, all day unlimited. While it is still somewhat expensive for a couple or family it does allow you more freedom to do your trip your way and take advantage of doing your favourite rides over and over again.
The skyway offers a beautiful view over Katoomba falls and also offers walks to a couple very nice lookouts and falls below though I find this to be one of the more popular rides and gets a little cramped when it gets busy.
The railway is NOT for short people... I thought I would be very brave arriving there first we were offered the front seat which I jumped at the chance for! I did very much regret this later… I am short, 5'3 and my knees don't come close to brace and those handles seem very far away for my little arms to reach on to! It all made for a very uncomfortable ride down and equally on the way back up again… I didn't see much of the view as I couldn't bring myself to look down as I was too busy holding on!
It's a great experience while in the Blue Mountains, well worth the trip. To make the best of it I suggest getting their early for the rides and doing some of the walks at your leisure.

Approximate cost: $35 Unlimited Pass

Scenic World is a must-see attraction in the Blue Mountains, I thoroughly enjoy visiting this place. It is expensive to do the cable rides and the steep railway, but the experience is memorable. The walking trails are simply stunning, you really appreciate Australia's beauty whilst walking them. My friends and I had the best time visiting here on the weekend, and I would recommend Scenic World to others.

the rides, the view the value, all are top notch, however the food and gift shop are average at best. Well worth checking out, just pack your own lunch and camera!

A Camera Is A Must! I agree the food and gift shops are a let down but if you go to see the view and the experience... it can be forgiven!

this is a great way to see the blue mountains the three sisters, the megalong valley and learn about the history of the mining in the blue mountains..we have been many times but one of my favourite times was when we went for mothers day...we went down the mountain with the scenic railway which is the steepest railway in the southern hemisphere prob the world,,it is quite fast and thrilling for all..we took our kids with us on it soo its safe for children jus hold to any belongings as theyll surely go tumbling if they are not held on to...we then did the scenic walk around the mountain took in the beautiful sights from within the trees and valley and you could read plaques at certain points retelling the history of the miners that resided in the mountains and worked tirelessly for months on end there were statues and memorabillia to see to get an idea of their lifestyle and dedication..we walked till we made it to the skylift which took us back up the mountain were you could see everything in all its glory from the bottom to the top, you can see the three sisters and the whole valley and its very thrilling as the lift is all made of glass soo you can see all round you even down below and its feels like you are just hanging there in midair over the mountains..once at the top you can walk around to echo point to the three sisters were you can walk right onto them and the view is magnificent..the scenicworld prices are very good for a family aswell as couples or individuals you can get packages to enjoy all the scenic world attractions or do each one at atime..the staff were friendly and helpful in telling you were to go wat times the lift train was leaving so you didnt miss out and they helped you decide what package best suited what you wanted to do..a great day out for all the family exciting and educational too be sure to pack your camera as the sites are magnificent

True wild Australian beauty as it is! Blue Mountains trip is not complete without visiting Scenic World Blue Mountains. The service was good, the staff were very helpful and cheering giving advice on best tracks for little kids, telling the history of the Mountains and naming different picks. We enjoyed the walks, cable car ride and Skywalk. The experience is entertaining for kids and adults

Scenic World offers a variety of experiences for exploring the beautiful and picturesque Jamison Valley and Katoomba falls.

Offering "tours" from just $16 per adult for the skyway return through to the best value discovery pass which allows you return access to all attractions.

On our visit the Scenic Railway was unavailable as the current line is being renewed we were still able to experience the Skyway, Cableway and Walkway.

The Skyway offers a beautiful view over the valley and the falls, the cable way is very exciting as it makes it's deep decent into the forest below. The walkway is a very nice and very easy walk through the rainforest with an interesting look into the areas past coal mining heritage.

What is disappointing is the rides are very short, they do however travel between locations every 7-10 minutes which allows for a short wait for your return to "scenic world" this allows you to take the walk ways and marvel at the views from the numerous look outs and points of interest on the way.

The service is about what you expect, nothing to special just satisfactory. I do recommend getting in early as the place soon fills up, being one of the more popular destinations in the Blue Mountains.

Our cable car ride was nice excluding the SCREAMING Children... on decent but our trip back was far from it.. On our return we ended up being crammed into the cabin like sardines, the 'operator' requested no more people get on yet they still crammed into the cabin. I did wonder if the cabin had a holding capacity and what that was... despite the constant requests people where still attempting to get into the cabin while the doors where being closed!

People were very pushy and rude, I notice a lot of Japanese tourists on tour amongst us and I wondered if perhaps they had not understood the request that no more people enter the cabin... it made for a very unpleasant ride back, we were very uncomfortable and unable to see what the operator was trying to get our attention to see.

The skyway was a much more relaxed experience.

The gift shop is VERY disappointing tailoring to the overseas tourists.

Over all it is a nice scenic adventure. Well worth a visit while in the blue mountains. Just pick your times well!

Approximate cost: $From $16/adult
