Visited with my sick dog on Boxing Day. Arrived 5.45 pm and left 11.45 pm.
6 hours waiting while they held my dog hostage for a ridiculous fee and left $600 lighter. Still don’t know what’s wrong and no one spoke to me to let me know what was happening if anything. I had to ask twice. Once after a 4 hour wait and again after 5 hours. Was told he would be next to see the vet both times. More than 5 hours later and the 20 something straight out of Uni vet had only just seen him. Said his oxygen was low but didn’t know what his levels were when he came in. The $600 was a consultation fee and to “check his vitals”. WTF???? Told that it was a hectic night with critical patients taking priority hence the long wait. I thought that when they ripped my dog from my arms and said they were giving oxygen my pet would have been considered “critical.” Hell no! He went to sleep so they treated every other animal that came through the door while I sat in the waiting room for six hours none the wiser. A further 50 minutes waiting in another room while they worked out a quote for over $2000 to keep him overnight to do tests and to print a waiver form if I didn't agree. Funny, I thought they would have done tests over the six hours they had my dog in their care. Go figure…. They need another 2k for that. $600 later and still no idea what is wrong because no one bothered to find out. Could have kept him home and taken him to a decent vet tomorrow. The worst vet experience I have ever encountered in my life. Don’t waste your time or money
