I was looking for a great wagyu, to barbecue. Aah, you don’t do that. So OK, whats the alternate? Which was a certified angus scotch fillet. $15 for 200gms. Took it home cooked sear, then rare on my fabulous Weber. My goodness, food of the gods fabulous.
High quality product but rubbish service. Whenever I used to shop there I'd always wonder "gee I wonder if Harry and Linda are in a good mood today or if they're gonna be annoyed I'm disturbing them". Absolute rubbish service, so I stopped going there. Plenty of other butchers to choose from
Approximate cost: $150
This is quality meat. The cuts are really great and not fatty like you get at some other butchers
Sardes Quality Meats is the best beef stall in Queen Victoria Market. They sell wagyu, angus, cape grim, and even lambs and goat now. FYI, Rockpool in Crown serves Cape Grim beef. If you are after quality and taste, Sardes is the ONLY one I recommend. The meat is just soooo tender, juicy and full of taste and best of all, very fresh. Their service is excellent too. They can cut any size you want and any thickness you want.
