I am completely disappointed with a professional from Salisbury Medical Group, dra My Nguyen. I am about to report to Medicare and any sort of places that I can what she has been doing. First of all, my first appointment with her, to do a pap smear and ask for a prescription she charged me a long consultation that we invented things to discuss so she could get the money. Today I have paid 72 dollars of a consultation to hear that my cholesterol is high and I need to eat well. I have tried to get the results over the phone and the receptionist didn't want to give me saying that the doctor want to see me. Thar woman is desperate for money, and she was saying to me that it was the "system". I will tell the system what she is doing with patients.....

Standard consultation is now $77.00. I have seen a few of the doctors at this practice and although they have been pleasant enough I was never really given the best advice. For example I have had trouble with my weight for ever. I was advised to go on the 5-2 diet. End of story. No follow up or interest in my progress. A few other problems which I felt were of no interest to the doctors and just passed over. I decided to transfer to another practice and they charged me $20 for this. Never has any other practice charged me for transferring.

I have seen most of the doctors in this surgery (over about 15 years!) and I still don't have a favourite GP. They expanded a few years back and now seem to have a big 'client' base. Receptionists are polite and when I had an emergency a few years ago, calmly talked me through what steps I should be taking until I got to them. They are no longer the closest clinic to me, however I still prefer to come here than to change doctors.
