I wouldn't recommend them at all. RACV recommended what a joke. RACV towed the car there thinking it might be a fuel pump problem so instead of finding out what was actually wrong with the car he claims he changed the fuel pump and broke the fuel gauge in the process. He charged me $918.00. I was lucky to get it home because it still didn't work.
After that I got a reputable mechanic to fix the problem which turned out to be an ignition coil problem a $45.00 part plus labour. [redacted generalisation]

Warning!!!
Rude and over charge for everything. Stick the sticker on my car without my permission. I left there crying after he told me get the f off of his property. Never forget that for the rest of my life. "Hope he has a bright future "

Approximate cost: $760

I took in my car to be serviced (not even a big service) and drove it out feeling a bit weird about it. Couldn't put my finger on why. A couple of months later (Definitely less than 3,000km's between this period) and my car's engine is ticking over to the point that pedestrians are staring as I drive past, the battery is completely flat. Car ended up having to go in to [Redacted business name] (highly recommend, 10/10) due to a scratch in the car (from another driver, yay). They informed me that I needed about $2,000 worth of work done on the car that should have been picked up by Sab's. The brake pads hadn't even been checked and were now metal on metal, the licensed mechanic had instructed all staff there not to drive my car above a certain number of revs as the "water" something (I don't pretend to be a mechanic) was about to explode if put under too much pressure. Thanks Sab. Paid $600 to you for a job that wasn't done and now I have to pay another $2,000 to get my car working when it should have just been done right the first time.

Also totally agree with what some people said about the stickers. No one should be sticking anything on your car without your consent beforehand and I was furious when I saw it on mine.

Approximate cost: $2600

The same situation.. the owner told me that "get the f*k off of his property " after I had a big fighting with him about the sticker. He said there is no one free to take the sticker of from my car and he does that to every customer and no one complain about that except me. I left crying and couldn't do anything after that. Hope he has a good life.

Bad business. I found these guys to be dishonest and rude. Went in for a basic service -  I feel like they tried to take the possibility because I am a girl. Quoted me over $700 for all this extra stuff plus another $300 for an extra part I apparently needed. Just for a basic service they charge $270.. Got a second opinion at another mechanic down the road, turns out that I didn't need any of the extra stuff and the part they were trying to charge me for costs no more than $60. Would never recommend thelse guys to anyone - it's because of dudes like this that mechanics get a bad rep.

Approximate cost: $700

Yeah. I used to go to Sabs (the whole family did) but then he started charging like a wounded bull. Have now switched and my new mechanics prices are less than half the price.
Also I really got fed up with the Sabs Autos sticker they kept putting on the car even after I told them to stop.

Approximate cost: $1000

We took our car to sabs auto for a service about a year or so ago. Problem was they to forgot to put enough coolant. The result. Cooked the engine and have to purchase a new car as a result of a car that will cost thousands to fix. Service books for the car went missing.
I had another car that I took to this mechanic and always found the job was never completed properly and found myself continually taking it back. Yeah courtesy car is handy but think it's there way of luring customers into this establishment. You've been warned.
