This was our first trip to Cairns this year and could not have picked a nicer hotel. Service was of good standard and locals use the conference rooms for events its in walking distance to The Rydges Tradewind. We had a Ocean View Room and you could see all the way up the road to the shopping area, the night markets are basicly asian food all you can eat at reasonable prices..recommend anyone goes there for tea, also just a little up from market is the Cairns Marina and also A awesome Casino. On a morning we had coffee in our room then walked up the road for a small lunch snack. This hotel is worth trying, it as a mini bus that takes you to shops or Casino and picks up passengers also from Rydges Tradewinds on the way. to the side of the hotel is local bus stop where you can catch a bus all the way to Palm cove which we did one of the days, that was fun. we stayed 6 nights would stay there again.
